The Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, in partnership with Self-Advocates of Indiana and The Arc of Indiana, are hosting sessions throughout the state to present information about the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities and Rehabilitative Services’ waiver redesign initial concept paper. The sessions are designed to obtain feedback from self-advocates and family members.
At each of these feedback sessions there will be a meeting specifically for self-advocates and another for family members. In each session, facilitators will support a group conversation about the options raised in the concept paper and what you feel are the most important things that should come out of waiver redesign. Please note that BDDS staff will not be in attendance at the sessions as they are being organized and hosted by our stakeholders, but we encourage everyone who is able to attend. The feedback gleaned from these meetings will be extremely valuable and will allow BDDS to provide the most appropriate services for the individuals we serve.
Feedback sessions will be held in February and early March in the following locations: Kokomo, Gary, Fort Wayne, Vincennes, New Albany and Indianapolis.
