Thanks to generous grants from Duke Energy, Hendricks Power Cooperative, CoBank, and the Owens family, Sycamore Services has been able to add a gazebo to the evolving Sensory Garden at our Danville Annex location. On October 2, employees from Hendricks Power Cooperative spent a volunteer service day constructing the gazebo. The 20-foot octagonal-shaped gazebo will provide a shaded, restful space in the garden. Long-term plans for the Sensory Garden include hillside walkways with viewing platforms and extensive plantings and garden art to enhance the space. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the Sensory Garden, or donating to future projects within the Sensory Garden, can contact Aimee Ketterer, Director of Community Relations, at alketterer@sycamoreservices.numediamarketing.com.
