Direct Support Professionals assist individuals others who need extra help to be self-sufficient. DSP's provide this support to people at home or their neighborhoods and communities. Individuals have different types of needs from physical support to assistance in daily living.
Brief classroom training followed by on-the-job training is provided for all DSP's.

Employment Consultants

Motivated professional will develop employment opportunities and coordinate hiring, training and on-going supports for individuals with disabilities.
Excellent communication skills and BA or 5 years human services experience required.

Children’s Services, Therapists

Therapists serve as members of multi-disciplinary teams, assisting in developing and implementing the Individual Family Support Plan outcomes for the children and families served. Performs discipline-specific therapy and evaluations for infants and toddlers referred to the First Steps program.
Children's Services
Activity Assistants – Before & After School Program
Will assist the Activity Leader with daily program activities for Before and/or After School Program at the designated school site. Responsibilities include interacting with children, parents and school personnel, leading and supervising activities and following all safety guidelines for assigned site location.
Must be at least 16 years old, have good communication skills and experience working with children and ability to provide instruction/tutoring in basic academic areas. Previous experience working with children with disabilities preferred.

- Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. &/or 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Activity Leaders - Before & After School Program
Will assist the Program Director with planning and will implement daily program activities for Before and/or After School Program. Responsibilities include task supervision of site staff and children, providing and leading curriculum/activities, communicating with parents and school personnel, and maintaining program records/documentation. Will work with children, parents and teachers to develop goals to enhance academic performance.
High school diploma or GED, experience working with children, excellent people and communication skills and demonstrated ability to teach others required. Experience working in a educational or childcare setting, experience with children with disabilities and previous supervisory experience preferred.

Van Driver’s
Transport individuals as assigned, providing assistance as necessary. At all times, ensure the safe operation of the vehicle, including safe boarding and unloading of passengers. Drivers must have the ability to complete daily pre-trip inspection and accurately complete service logs. Good driving record, valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a public passenger chauffeur’s license required.
